A referral is a document from your doctor stating that he or she would like you to have a colonoscopy.
If you are healthy and not having any problems, a referral is not needed. However, if you are having problems for which you need a colonoscopy, a referral from your primary physician is needed. If a referral is required, ColonoscopyAssist™ will contact you and let you know.
If you do not have a referral, we will help you get one or arrange a consultation with a specialist before the colonoscopy to meet this requirement.
